Jon Spencer’s (Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Pussy Galore) scherpe rockabilly- en garageband Heavy Trash heeft allang enkele malen de wereld rond getourd. Met staande bas, continu swingende drums, de venijnige surfgitaarsolo’s van Matt Verta-Ray (Madder Rose, Speedball Baby), is deze rock ’n roll gemengd met rockabilly qua energie en showgehalte ongeëvenaard. De performance van Jon Spencer zelf: zijn diep in reverb gedrenkte stem doet de maagwanden trillen.
Het derde album van de band is uitgebracht, getiteld Midnight Soul Serenade. Dit zeggen Spencer en Verta-Ray zelf over hun plaat:
